The many faces of Benjamin McCoy

Who needs cable TV when you have a toddler like Ben in the house to provide all of the entertainment.

Here's a video of what Ben likes to do with his milk now. With what milk prices are today, this won't be funny for long.

A little more fiber might help with this face.

Severe Weather = Green Lawn

Spring and Summer severe weather is nothing to take lightly in Nebraska. But for some deranged reason, I enjoy it. Partially because it is amazing to think about the shear amounts of energy and power that is out of man's control, and partially because it means I don't have to water my lawn. Don't get me wrong, I don't wish for the damage it can cause, but the deluge it brings with it is most desirable.

It's difficult to maintain a lush green carpet in our backyard with Daisy and Lucy's big clod-hoppin feet trampling it all the time. That's why I've really enjoyed watching it this year as the torrential rain has kept my yard looking well manicured (assuming I keep mowing it).

(The white spots are Daisy's toys or bones.)

TGIS(ummer)

After a long and grueling winter, I am thrilled that summer has arrived and has been fairly gracious to us, barring some crazy storms. I have been especially looking forward to this summer for one specific reason. That is because this is the first summer that Ben can walk, run, and really enjoy the outsides. It didn't take us long to figure out that being outdoors is Ben's favorite place to be. He has such an inquisitive little mind and is quite the explorer. I'm just amazed to watch him and think about how fast he's growing and how he has developed so well.

Anyway, here are a few pics from a recent outing to the local playground.

I'm not sure the slide is really his thing right now.

He looks tiny, and I look goofy. The sand was really bad as it had been raining non-stop that week.

Ben's new skill

I thought I'd blow up the picture showing off Ben's latest hobby because I'm just so proud of him. Like father, like son.

Weekend fun with Mama and Bubba Bob

Last weekend we went down to Bellevue to cookout with my Mom and Dad. Of course, the main reason was so they could have some time with their grandson. Here are a few of the photos and a video of our growing little weed.

Ben on the line with the President.

Mama's funny little man.

Ben is thrilled that summer is here and he can go play outside now. Here he is exploring Mama's backyard. I think he's heading to pay his respect at the Grape Weed Memorial.

Bubba Bob summer-time chillin'.

Yes, his finger is in his nose. And note the Tulane apparel. It didn't help the team.

Was that "goodnight"?
