K.C. Getaway - Day 1

Summer is winding down, so what better time to get away and enjoy a quality family outing? Kim, Ben and I decided to take a three day trip to Kansas City and stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. If your not familiar with "the Lodge", it's a huge hotel and indoor family oriented water park. Perfect for those pale skinners who battle basil cell carcinoma and want to have fun with their wife and toddler. After a 2 and a half hour drive from Omaha, we were quickly in the water and having fun. Ben was a little apprehensive at first, so we started with the lazy river. It didn't take long after that and he was all over the place. Check out the pictures and video.

This was cool. At the top of Fort McKenzie was a huge bucket constantly being filled with water. About every 4 minutes it would reach capacity, tip over, and dump 1,000 gallons of water from 3 1/2 stories high onto the park-goers below. It was fun...and painful.
